Josh Wilson

Josh joined CIMA in 2025, bringing 15 years of nonprofit leadership and development experience to the team. His professional background includes many years working as a hands-in-the-dirt advocate for human-powered recreation and public lands in New York's Adirondack Park, where he served as executive director of the Barkeater Trails Alliance and as a member of the state's Forest Preserve and trail stewardship advisory committees.  Josh has considerable staff and volunteer experience supporting mission-driven organizations focused on conservation, community development, public health and active transportation. He received a bachelor of science in Natural Resources Management & Policy from Paul Smith's College. He now lives in Virginia's Blue Ridge mountains with his wife and their two corgis. In his free time, Josh volunteers for the Virginia Grassland Bird Initiative's American kestrel monitoring program, and pursues his lifelong passion for mountain sports, cooking and traveling.
