Emily Zhou

Emily joined the CIMA team as their Tech Development Intern and is currently a third-year majoring in Computer Science in the College of Arts and Sciences at UVA while minoring in Data Science and French. Her main focus and passions lie in increasing accessibility and usability in technology while improving the relationship humans share with technology. In the past summer, she developed computer visioning AI models with Centrifuge LLC. She also holds experience in sharing knowledge about technology with others such as being an Advanced Software Development TA and also as a volunteer Coding Instructor at the Fairfax City Public Library. Emily is currently active in UVA student organizations, such as UVA Wushu and the Costuming, Cosplay, and Crafts Club (CCC).  In CCC where she serves as their Social Media Chair, she has aided in the club receiving $2k+ in grants and also gaining partnerships with the UVA Library Program and UVA Arts.
